In a newly settled settlement, house number 15 belonged to Umar Deen, which was known to be haunted by ghosts. There were thirty houses in this neighborhood. Umar Deen had painted the house.
Goods arrived in a truck on Sunday. The name of the new tenant was Malik Hidayatullah. The next day, Malik slaughtered a cow and distributed all the meat to the entire neighborhood. Malik was a very generous person. He fed the poor. It was Malik Sahib's quality to help everyone in trouble, to actively participate in every good work.
Malik Sahib was a rich man. He came to this poor neighborhood on rent only to help the poor. If he wanted, he could buy a good house in a good area.
A month later, in the late hours of the night, the sounds of women crying started coming from the roof of Malik Sahib's house.
The people of the neighborhood were scared. Malik Sahib had a pistol and a gun, but Malik Sahib did not show haste.
Malik Sahib was thinking that only at night the ghosts come to the roof of the house and make noise, why they are not seen roaming around in the rooms or in the courtyard.
Why do they come to the roof at night only to scare me? One more week passed in complete peace, but after a week, horses, donkeys running and strange scary noises started coming from the roof.
There was complete silence for a week. Malik Sahib placed two or three broken iron cupboards on the roof and also placed three chairs behind the cupboards.
Every time Malik Sahib installed big lights on the roof, they would break on the second day and the roof would remain completely dark.
One day after Malik Sahib had performed the Isha prayer in the mosque, he and his two bodyguards sat quietly on the chairs behind the cupboards. Sit down.
The guards on both sides, right and left, and Malik Sahib would sit with guns in the middle. Malik Sahib had instructed the guards not to shoot. After two days passed, they saw a shadow on the roof wall. Malik Sahib. And his companions became alert, but they wanted the shadow to come a little closer.
Malik Sahib and his companions maintained complete silence, but held their pistols firmly in their respective hands. Through the holes behind the iron cupboard, Malik Sahib and his companions made a thorough inspection. The battery in the very center of the shadow roof. The tape started playing.
At first the voice was low, then gradually raised.
Malik Sahib fired a shot. The shadow started to run away, so Malik Sahib and his companions caught him. He was wearing the skin of an animal and had an artificial horn on his head.
Malik Sahib turned on the secret lights and saw that it was a man.
Malik Sahib caught him and brought him down to the room. The man was trembling. Malik Sahib said: "I will kill you. Tell me the truth. Who are you and what do you want?"
He folded his hands and said: "I will not do this again." Forgive me."
He added: "He is a relative of Umar Deen and there is a fight with him over something. We want to rent this house from him, but Umar Deen is stubborn that he will not give it to us. So we had adopted this method of evicting their tenants.
He requested Malik Sahib not to mention this to anyone. Take care of our honor, otherwise we will become very infamous. Malik Sahib said: "Don't worry. I will not tell anyone about this." I will not mention and try to solve your problem.
Malik Sahib allowed him to go home. The next day, Malik Sahib called Umar Din and explained to him that relationships should be respected. There is a great blessing in unity.
Those of your relatives who want to rent this house from you, you should give it to them on my guarantee. Another house is becoming vacant in the same street, I will move there. End the disagreement with this relative of yours. May Allah bless you.
The next day, Malik Sahib called both the families to his house and reconciled them. Umar Din's relatives were so impressed by Malik Sahib's behavior that they said that we will be happy if you stay in this house.
Umar Deen has been consulted, this is the best thing. Malik Sahib never mentioned the ghost story to anyone. He who hides the faults of others, Allah also hides his faults.
